SCL Health’s Brand Transformation Moves Forward

As an organization and as a brand, SCL Health represents the sum of all of our parts. Each and every aspect of our ministry contributes to who we are and our shared mission to help and to heal. Whether you work as a technician at one of our hospitals, as a provider in one of our dozens of physician clinics, as a home health nurse providing care in patients’ homes, or in an office, you and each of our care sites are what make up SCL Health.

As we first shared in September, we’re taking exciting steps to build better awareness for the SCL Health brand and range of services, drive consumer loyalty and make it a whole lot easier to find and engage with us. To accomplish this, we are elevating the SCL Health brand to help consumers more easily identify our connected locations and services with a simplified, easy-to-recognize brand image, the first signs of which are starting to take shape throughout the Front Range. Here’s a look at the very first steps to our transformation:

Market research has shown that consumers value receiving all of their care from one healthcare brand, and that they perceive value in their local doctor or hospital belonging to a larger network. We’ve elevated SCL Health in our visual identity while maintaining the strong legacy, culture and identity of our care site brands in each community we serve:

Primary monument signs, on-building signage and banners are going up now through January at our four Front Range care sites. St. Joe’s kicked it off with new banners this month:

The Web is where many consumers first encounter the SCL Health brand. Care site pages were updated with the new look in October:

SCL Physicians becomes SCL Health Medical Group

SCL Physicians has begun transitioning to a new name, SCL Health Medical Group, to better represent our full group of primary and specialty care providers and physician clinics and their connection to the larger system. We’re also simplifying the brand identity and reducing costs by moving from dozens of logos to one medical group logo:

In addition to changing the group name, we’re standardizing the naming conventions for several of our practices. By the end of this year, 20 practices will refresh their names followed by the balance of our group in 2018. Phase I clinics are as follows:

Western Colorado and Montana Regions to follow!

Adjusting signage and logos in the Grand Junction area is planned for the third quarter of 2018, with Montana to follow in the fourth quarter.

Of course, it’s more than signs and logos.

While signage and logos are the first and most obvious signals of this effort, we won’t be stopping there. An exciting new campaign will debut in the Front Range in early 2018 to tell the SCL Health story in a fresh and powerful way. Additionally, we’ll be reaching out to associates throughout the system to share and celebrate what makes us who we are and how we can best serve our patients and communities as One SCL Health.
